We tried to get together with the interact club to make the raffle happen one day at lunch. But this was sadly our last week to complete the project. We could not find a time that would work to raffle off the basket, and we know that it would take a while to get everything approved and run it through the office to get the money handed over to St. Judes. So we decided to cancel the raffle.

We decided that even with our new plan, our project would not follow through if we did not have a sponsorship from a club. So we chose to ask Mrs. K if the interact club could sponsor our project and help us out with the raffle. We made a proposal discussing the project and gave it to her. Time is running out and we know we still want to try our best to make it happen, so we have to move fast.
We are pretty determined to not give up, so we decided it was time to start from the beginning and look for a new way to raise money. We do not want to start completely over because we already have bought the supplies to raffle off the candy basket. So, our idea was to go with our original plan of raffling the basket off during lunch.
This week we were told very unfortunately that Mr. Davie has officially been canceled. We aren't sure what to do or where to go with our project at this point, because we have planned the whole project around the event. We honestly aren't sure what we want to do at this point because it is so late in the project. We know we do not want to give up, so we are going to do what we can from here.
This week we received the news that Mr. Davie was being rescheduled. Obviously this news was not ideal in means of getting our project done on time. We still planned on holding the raffle at the Mr. Davie because we think it will have the best outcome. The new date of the event was not set yet. But we still are planning to do it then so that we do not have to rework our entire project at this point.
This week was mostly just continuing to wait for the Mr. Davie night. We decided to prepare the plan for how we are going to do the raffle before hand so that the night would run smoothly. We decided to just walk around to the students and offer a raffle ticket for $1 each, promoting the candy basket as a prize. At the end of the night, we would put all of the tickets in one basket. After that we are going to pull out one ticket and call it out to the crowd, then give away the basket to the winner.
This is the final product of our raffle basket. We started by putting the gold wrapping paper in the bottom of the basket to add decoration, also so that the candy would pop out more. Then we orgainzed the candy where you could see everything pictured.
Today we went Walgreen's and bought candy to put in the basket. We bought 2 Snickers bars, Reese's king size bag, KitKat's, 3 packs of Extra classic bubble gum, Nerds Rope, and a bag of sour Starburst's. Also we bought golden wrapping paper to decorate the inside of the basket. We are meeting next weekend to work on decorating the basket and plan on getting everything done for Mr. Davie.
The raffle tickets came in the mail today from Amazon. We started to think more about what we could put in the basket, and we are mostly going to do candy. This week we also talked to Mr. Ham about the St. Judes fundraiser for Mr. Davie. He said we might have to come up with a different type of fundraising depending on if there are enough contestants for Mr. Davie. Hopefully we will find this out soon, the date for the fundraiser will be April 23.
This week we got the raffle tickets ordered on Amazon Prime so they will be here soon. We started to think about the ways we can award the winner of the raffle ticket. Then we realized we could use the baskets that we bought during the first week to put small gifts in for the winner. These baskets became useless to us until this week. In the next week we will begin brainstorming about what we want to award the winner, it won't be anything big, just small cute things. Also we will work on decorating the baskets in a theme for St. Judes.
